Camp Friends are the Best Friends

“Camp friends are the best friends!”

We hear this all the time. From campers, staff, and the camp alumni who remember their camp days so fondly. There’s something special about the way camp facilitates close friendships. Part of the reason might be because at camp, there are so many ways to explore, be creative, express yourself! And when we do this, we reveal new parts of ourselves to each other, and this authenticity and intimacy facilitates close friendships. We also hear campers say, “I feel like I can be myself around my camp friends.” And we agree! Here are some photos that illustrate why camp friendships are the best friendships.
