Camp Kippewa Director

Steve joins his wife, Ginger, as Director at Camp Kippewa. Steve, a barefoot waterski national junior champion and national record holder in his native New Zealand, earned his bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering before traveling to the states to work at camp and finding a whole new career path in the world of camping.

Steve previously ran the international visa program and alumni relations for CampGroup. Steve is an ACA Standards Visitor and has presented at ACA national conferences. He, too, was Head Counselor at America’s Camp, a week-long camp for children of 9/11 victims that ran for 10 years. Steve and Ginger have three children who enjoy camp as much as their parents do!
